Is a unique track on the record. It has a real intimate, in-the-room feel because it was recorded in the room, around a few mics, live together on tape.

In my sessions at The Bomb Shelter, for each song we worked on, I would play the song solo so the band could hear my original intention, and then we’d figure out the arrangement. Andrija and I would usually have some idea of what we wanted on it, but with this one, it felt right to keep it stripped down. It’s personal, like a letter.

Below is me, Casey, and Jeff playing the song together for the first time while Andjia is setting up the mics around us. Jeff on the upright bass and Casey on the ground playing a high-strung guitar. Since Brian sat this one out, he sneakily recorded this video (as not to disturb the moment). It’s a real taste of what it was like in the studio…
